"Eritrea has violated Ethiopia's sovereignty by sending armed troops across the Ethiopian border into the Tigray region," said the Ethiopian Ambassador to Somalia, Suleymaan Daddafo.

Upon their arrival in the Tigray region, they were "welcomed by a 'mafia' group preparing to fight the federal government," the ambassador stated.

The former head of the Transitional Administration of Tigray and advisor to Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, Getachew Radda, added, "The TPLF has been denying for many months that it is forming an alliance with internal and external parties to fight the federal government, and now it has clearly revealed this matter."

He condemned the party for forming an alliance with groups opposed to Ethiopia, with the aim of 'overthrowing the federal government'.

Ambassador Suleymaan Daddafo posted this matter on his X page (formerly known as Twitter), stating that he would provide further details in personal posts he would release.

These statements came after Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed stated that the TPLF is collaborating with Eritrea to start a war against the Ethiopian government.

General Baca Dabale, the Ethiopian Ambassador to Kenya, said: "The war is ongoing there, in the Tigray region. Ultimately, the current government of Eritrea will not last."

Ambassador Suleymaan Daddafo stated, "It is contrary to international principles and laws for an armed foreign force to cross the border of a country recognized by international laws without the consent of that sovereign country."

"This is a violation of Ethiopia's sovereignty, and it has serious legal, political, and security implications for the region," he said.

"This gives Ethiopia the right to take action in accordance with international law and the United Nations Charter," he said.

Ambassador Suleymaan stated that this action gives Ethiopia a legal right to counter the TPLF's attempts to wage war against Ethiopia.
