Security forces in Ufeyn district of Bari region arrested a man from Yemen, accused of being part of the ISIS group hiding in the Calmiskaad mountains.

This ISIS leader, when captured by security forces, was in the Afcad area of Ufeyn district, accompanied by two other men who escaped, named Mukhtaar Cali Naasir.

The spokesperson for the Hillaac operation in the Cal-miskaad mountains, Gen. Maxamuud Maxamed Axmed, stated that these three men had been coming from the Shakaala area for three days, which is believed to be a base for members of ISIS.

The Puntland government earlier this year presented a number of foreign detainees captured during the Calmiskaad operation, who were accused of being part of ISIS, although they have not yet been brought to court. The government stated it would continue operations to pursue remaining members in the mountains of Bari region.
