Puntland Shows Support for Galmudug

Puntland's Vice President Ilyaas Cismaan Lugatoor stated that they stand with Galmudug and will participate in everything to safeguard its stability, governance, and unity.

Vice President Lugatoor called on the people of Galmudug to safeguard their governance and to hold an agreed-upon election.

Vice President Lugatoor, speaking this morning at an event in Garowe to launch the Puntland national examination, said, “I tell the people of Galmudug to have a good gathering, safeguard your governance, and hold an agreed-upon election. Puntland stands ready to support everything that safeguards the governance of Galmudug.”

Additionally, Puntland's Vice President Ilyaas Cismaan Lugatoor stated that President Xasan Sheekh is currently isolated and has lost his allies, and that there is a need for a united effort to ensure the country holds an agreed-upon election.

On the other hand, Lugatoor accused the Federal Government of Somalia of the fighting that occurred this morning in the city of Baydhabo, expressing support for the former president of South West State, Cabdicasiis Laftagareen.
