The Deputy Prime Minister of Somalia Participates in the Celebration of Italian National Day in Mogadishu

Mogadishu, Somalia – The Deputy Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, Salah Ahmed Jama, participated today in the event commemorating Italian National Day held in the city of Mogadishu.

Mr. Salah Ahmed Jama congratulated the people and government of Italy on this important day, highlighting the historical relationship and longstanding friendship between Somalia and Italy.

The Deputy Prime Minister stated that this day holds special significance for the people of Italy, as it marks the anniversary of the referendum held in 1946, in which the Italian people chose to make their country a republic instead of a monarchy.

“On behalf of the Federal Government of Somalia, I extend congratulations and commendations to the people and leaders of Italy on the occasion of National Day. Somalia values the friendship and cooperation it has with Italy,” said Mr. Salah Ahmed Jama.

The event was attended by officials from the Federal Government of Somalia, diplomats, honored guests, and representatives from international organizations, who jointly celebrated this national day of Italy.
