No advertising networks and no third-party ad trackers. Nothing is sold or shared for marketing.
Warkasta is a news site, not an advertising business. We collect the minimum needed to publish, to deliver the daily email you asked for, and to understand which stories readers actually read.
This page describes what is stored, what stays in your browser, and how to remove yourself. Last updated 30 August 2026.
No advertising networks and no third-party ad trackers. Nothing is sold or shared for marketing.
Visitor identifiers, browser user agents, and IP addresses are stored only as one-way SHA-256 hashes.
The daily edition goes only to addresses that subscribed, and every message carries one-click unsubscribe.
For each page view we record the path, the page title, the referring site, a two-letter country code, and any campaign tags carried in the link. Alongside these we store a one-way hash of your visitor identifier, a hash of your browser user agent, and a hash derived from your IP address. The IP address itself is never written to our database, and the country code comes from a network header rather than from geolocating you.
Ereyga Maanta records the puzzle number, the date, the interface language, whether the puzzle was completed, how many attempts were used, the streak length, and whether a hint was opened. These are attached to the same hashed visitor identifier. The words you guess are never sent to us — they stay in your browser.
Your game board, your statistics, and a randomly generated visitor identifier are kept in your browser’s local storage. They are never uploaded in raw form; only the hash of the identifier reaches us. Clearing site data for warkasta.com erases all of it, including your streak.
If you subscribe we store your email address, your chosen language, which page you subscribed from, and the dates you subscribed or unsubscribed. It is used only to send the daily edition. Every message includes a one-click unsubscribe header your mail app can act on, and an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Unsubscribing takes effect immediately; we keep the record afterwards only so that we can honour it.
Search queries are stored with a hash of the query and the number of results returned, so we can see what readers look for and fail to find. They are not linked to your email address.
The site and database are hosted by Render in Frankfurt. The daily email is delivered by Resend. Application errors are reported to Sentry. Article images are resized through wsrv.nl. Following a link to a social platform hands you to that platform’s own privacy terms.
You can unsubscribe from any email in one click, clear your browser data to reset the game and your visitor identifier, or write to us to ask what is held about you and to have it deleted.
Subscriber records are kept until you unsubscribe, and are removed entirely on request. Page-view, search and game events are deleted automatically 180 days after they are recorded. If you would like your records removed sooner, email us and we will do it.
