A soldier sentenced for killing his friend over a game of Turub they played together

The accused, Nuur Ibraahim Sahal, has been charged with the crime of murder against the late former police officer Liibaan Nuux Sooc, with whom he was serving in the police tax protection unit. This incident occurred in the district of Xamar jajab on the 12th of July in the year 2026.

The accused became angry when he was denied a game of cards that the soldiers were playing, as it was perceived that he had no knowledge of the game. He wanted an AK-47 rifle to play forcefully, and the deceased insisted on his decision to deny the card game.

After that, the accused Nuur unleashed insults and fired multiple shots using an AK-47 rifle, which led to the death of the late former police officer Liibaan Nuux Sooc.

After a lengthy investigation, the Office of the Military Prosecutor requested the case to be taken up, and it was approved on the 1st of October 2026.

The military court, having given sufficient time to the parties involved in the case, ultimately sentenced the former police officer Nuur Ibraahim Sahal to death by shooting, which is the retribution for the late former police officer Liibaan Nuux Sooc.
