Peace Call Issued Regarding the Situation in Aricadeeye

The Ministry of Internal Affairs, Federalism and Reconciliation of the Federal Government of Somalia expresses its concern over the conflict occurring in the Aricadeeye area, which has involved two sibling clans, resulting in loss of life.

The ministry condemns the violent acts that have caused death and injury to civilians.

The ministry calls for an immediate and unconditional cessation of the conflicts and all acts that could incite violence, urging the parties involved to promote peace, coexistence, and the protection of public stability.

Additionally, the ministry calls on the Traditional Elders, Scholars, Women, Youth, Community Leaders, and all officials of the Puntland State to take a visible role in de-escalating the conflict, strengthening dialogue, and seeking a lasting peaceful resolution to prevent the spread of this conflict.

Finally, the ministry prays to Allah SWT to grant His mercy and paradise to all those who lost their lives in this tragic incident, to heal the wounded, and to alleviate the suffering of the affected community.
