Dhuusamareeb (Caasimada Online) – The former President of the Somali Regional Government of Galmudug, Ahmed Abdi Kaariye (Qoor Qoor) has today set a new date after he peacefully and smoothly transferred the presidential office to Liibaan Ahmed Xasan, who was recently elected the new leader of the Galmudug administration.

Qoor-Qoor who spoke at the handover ceremony that took place at the Presidential Palace in Dhuusamareeb, officially handed over the offices, facilities and work files of the Somali Regional Government of Galmudug.

Additionally, he stated that he has united Galmudug which does not have any political disputes, which will be specifically remembered about him.

“I have handed over to you Galmudug which is politically united and today there is no place for political grievances, I have handed over to you Galmudug which is socially and economically united,” said the former president of the Galmudug administration.

Ahmed Qoor-Qoor also provided the new leadership with information about the projects that have been implemented and those that are still ongoing, including the construction of the airport in Dhuusamareeb and the major roads of the city.

On the other hand, he sent a strong message to the people of Galmudug, calling for them to support the elected leaders to strengthen cooperation, and to continue the development and state-building of the Galmudug administration.

“We want to ask the people of Galmudug wherever they are to support the new government led by President Liibaan Axmed Xasan, and to fully cooperate,” he added.

In any case, the transfer of power that took place in Galmudug has sent a political message to other administrations, especially those currently involved in conflicts related to leadership of the administration, some of which have changed into armed confrontations, such as South West and Hirshabelle.
