The National Election Commission Announces the Schedule for the Election of the Leader and the Speaker of the Galmudug Parliament

The Independent National Electoral Commission has announced the schedule for the election of the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Galmudug State and the senior leadership of that administration, which is planned to take place between October 13 and October 22, 2026.

According to the schedule released by the commission, the election of the Speaker of the House of Representatives of Galmudug is set for October 13, while the preparation activities and elections related to the Deputy Speaker will take place on October 14 and 15.

The swearing-in of the House of Representatives is scheduled for October 16, while the submission of candidacies for the Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the House is planned for October 17. The speeches of the candidates and the election of the Speaker are expected to occur on October 18.

Regarding the election of the leader and the Deputy Leader of the Galmudug State, the commission stated that the submission of candidacies will begin on October 19, while the speeches of the candidates are scheduled for October 21.
