Kenyan Police Foil Alleged Attack Plot, Arrest Somali Suspect in Major Illegal Arms Bust

Nairobi (WDN) – Kenyan security forces have disrupted what authorities describe as a suspected plot to carry out attacks in Nairobi and Garissa, arresting several armed suspects, including a Somali national allegedly involved in an illegal weapons trafficking network.

The arrests followed a targeted security operation in which police intercepted a vehicle at a checkpoint and detained a suspect accused of transporting firearms intended for Nairobi. Authorities believe the weapons were being moved as part of a broader illicit arms operation.
