Mogadishu Announces Results for 8th Grade 2025-2026

The Banaadir Regional Administration has announced the results of the 8th-grade exam, with three students declared to have achieved the top positions and awarded prizes.

The Chairman of the Banaadir Regional Administration and Mayor of Mogadishu, Dr. Xasan Maxamed Xuseen Muungaab, led a ceremony today to announce the results of the 8th-grade certificate exam for secondary schools, which was held in the city of Mogadishu. The ceremony revealed the names and details of the students who secured the top three positions, namely Sumayo Xasan Abshir Aadam (1st place), Balqiisa Maxamed Cumar Maxamed (2nd place), and Axmed Cabdinaasir Cabdullaahi Cabdi (3rd place).

This event is significant as it demonstrates the commitment of the Banaadir Regional Administration to the development of education and the encouragement of students. The students were awarded prizes including gold, laptops, and other gifts to motivate their educational efforts and enhance their knowledge, marking the first time the administration has rewarded students in this manner.

The Chairman of the Banaadir Regional Administration, Dr. Xasan Maxamed Xuseen Muungaab, who congratulated all students who participated in the exam, emphasized that education is the fundamental pillar of societal progress and the building of a knowledgeable, capable, and responsible generation. He encouraged the students to double their educational efforts and take advantage of the opportunities being created for their future.

He added that the administration will fully cover the educational expenses for high school for the three students who achieved the top positions. The event was attended by officials at various levels, members of the education sector, teachers, parents, and students.
