Puntland bans forces & politicians affiliated with the FGS.

The Puntland Ministry of Security today issued a press release announcing new measures to strengthen the overall security of Puntland regions. These decisions came after a meeting held by the Ministry of Security, the Puntland Security Committee, and some related ministries regarding security matters.

The press release prohibited the illegal movement of technical vehicles and armed militias in the Puntland regions, stating that legal action would be taken against anyone involved in activities that threaten security, while security forces were instructed to closely monitor the situation.

Additionally, Puntland has banned the organization or recruitment of militias within its regions, with a warning issued to individuals engaged in such activities.

The statement also indicated that officials and members of the federal government accused of inciting or supporting unrest against Puntland are banned from entering Puntland regions. The Puntland government has accused some of these officials of being involved in actions that could disrupt security and stability.
