Puntland rejects the initiative set by President Hassan Sheikh

The President of Puntland, Siciid Cabdullaahi Deni, has rejected the dialogue forum on electoral issues recently announced by President Xasan Sheekh Maxamuud.

President Deni accused the president of the Federal Government of Somalia of not being sincere about the conference he announced and that an agreement on electoral matters would be reached.

He stated that the purpose of that conference is to create division or to reach a stage.

“These conferences he claims should be attended are not sincere as previously known, but rather than the previous claims that people are being divided or a stage is being reached, that has passed,” said President Deni.

President Deni once again called for Somali politicians and those who love good to come together for a conference to discuss the situation in the country.

“As we announced earlier, we in Puntland, as people who love good and politicians with influence in the country, there is nothing to expect from Xasan,” said President Deni.
