Saacid meets with members close to the Federal Government

Former Prime Minister Cabdi Faarax Shirdoon (Saacid), who is a member of the Mustaqbalka Council, met today with the former Speaker of Parliament Maxamed Mursal Sheekh Cabdiraxmaan and MP Aadan Saransoor, who is currently close to the Federal Government.

Saacid stated that they discussed the political situation in the country, the stage of the state-building process, and the importance of having a unified national vision to address the political and governance challenges facing the country.

Saacid said in a written statement, "We were honored with a visit to his home by the former Speaker of the House of the People of the Federal Parliament of Somalia, Mr. Maxamed Mursal Sheekh Cabdiraxmaan. MP Aadan Saransoor was also present."

"In our meeting, we exchanged views on the political situation in the country, the stage of the state-building process, and the importance of having a unified national vision to address the political and governance challenges facing our country," he added.

This meeting comes at a time when there is confusion among the members of the Mustaqbalka Council, which consists of Puntland, Jubaland, and the Samatabixinta Platform.

Mursal was part of the earlier faction that left the Samatabixinta Platform, which reached an agreement with the Federal Government, and now he and Aadan Saransoor share political views with the President of South West State Aadan Madoobe.
