Salaad Cali Jeelle responds sharply to Fahad + Video

Mogadishu (Caasimada Online) – Former Somali ambassador to Djibouti, Amba. Salaad Cali Jeelle, in an exclusive interview with Universal Tv, responded to the former director of NISA, Fahad Yaasiin, who recently revealed that there was a plan to kill him in that country, which had previously been blocked during his time in the Farmaajo administration.

Fahad Yaasiin indicated that the reason for being blocked at the Djibouti airport was to kill him and then dispose of his body, accusing former Prime Minister Maxamed Xuseen Rooble and Arab countries that he did not name of being behind the plot.

“When I was blocked in Djibouti, it was a scheme led by the then Prime Minister Maxamed Xuseen Rooble and the Djibouti police chief at that time, with orders coming from Rooble, who was working to have me eliminated and then my body disposed of in those other countries. This project was funded by certain Arab groups, and the main plan was that I would not arrive in Mogadishu, and I was being followed regarding the Ikraan Tahliil issue,” Fahad Yaasiin said in the interview.

Ambassador Salaad Cali Jeelle, when asked about this matter, denied Fahad Yaasiin's accusations, stating that it is not possible for Djibouti to carry out the killing of a Somali person.

He also indicated that Fahad was angered by that statement, but there was nothing to it, as he clarified in the interview he gave.

“Fahad Yaasiin's claim that the Djibouti government wanted to kill me is unfounded; it is not possible for the Djibouti government to kill a Somali person,” said Ambassador Salaad Cali Jeelle.

He further added, “It cannot be said that there has been a long-standing problem; everything that was intended and the purpose behind it has been resolved before it escalated.”

Finally, Ambassador Salaad Cali Jeelle praised the Djibouti government and people, stating that they always show respect to the Somali government and that they are true brothers who can be relied upon.
