Senator Faroole Meets with Puntland Parliamentarians Representing Nugaal Region

Former Puntland President, Abdirahman Mohamed Mahmoud Faroole has met with the parliamentarians from the Nugaal region who are in the Puntland House of Representatives, who in recent months have openly opposed the policies of President Said Abdullahi Deni's government, while also organizing political mobilization against the administration.

Senator Faroole urged the members to maintain the unity and solidarity of Puntland, noting that the current period is a transitional phase that requires compromise and political cooperation to avoid escalating conflict.

For their part, some of the parliamentarians who attended the meeting stated that their opposition is not directed at Puntland itself, but is limited to President Deni's administration, accusing him of consolidating power in his hands and diminishing the role of other state institutions.

It was also reported that President Deni is planning to hold a general conference to discuss the political situation in Puntland. President Deni recently warned against what he termed "political fragmentation and military mobilization" being pursued by Villa Somalia, calling for vigilance against any actions that could undermine the stability and unity of Puntland.
