Somalia Participates in the INPDPA Executive Committee Meeting

ISTANBUL, Turkey – The Director General of the Somali National Data Protection Authority, Mr. Mohamed Nur Olow, participated in the second meeting of the Executive Committee of the Islamic Network for Personal Data Protection Authorities (INPDPA), held in Istanbul, Turkey.

Somalia is among the member countries of the Executive Committee of this organization, which aims to strengthen cooperation among Islamic countries in the field of personal data protection and safeguarding citizens' rights.

The meeting focused on the implementation of the organization's regulations and plans, enhancing cooperation among data protection authorities in Islamic countries, exchanging experiences and knowledge, and addressing challenges arising from modern technology and information security.

The Director General of the Somali National Data Protection Authority, Mr. Mohamed Nur Olow, stated that Somalia is committed to playing a significant role in advancing the organization's goals and promoting data protection standards.

He also emphasized the importance of safeguarding personal data and protecting citizens' rights, especially at a time when the world is heavily reliant on technology and digital services.
