Members of the Puntland Government Council are on a work trip to areas in the Mudug, Nugaal, Karkaar, Haylaan, Sanaag, Bari, and Raas-casayr.

This delegation aims to assess the local situation, gather community needs, lay the foundation for development projects, raise public awareness, and strengthen security and unity among the people of Puntland.

Some members of the delegation visited the Puntland Government military camps, police stations, and public service centers in the Mudug region, engaging with clan forces that had previously been independently stationed in areas of Mudug.

The officials inaugurated projects implemented in the Bilcil area and the Buursaalax district of Mudug, promising to address the needs of the local population through the relevant government offices.

On the other hand, the delegation in the Sanaag region laid the foundation for projects in the Badhan district, listening to reports and recommendations from the communities of Badhan, Xiingalool, and some other districts in the Sanaag region before proceeding to the Haylaan region.

Some members of the communities visited by the government delegation expressed needs and grievances regarding basic life services, requesting the Puntland Federal Government to urgently address their needs, and they expressed their readiness to defend Puntland and prevent anyone from undermining its unity.

The government delegation's tour of the regions comes at a time when the Federal Government of Somalia announced that it would directly intervene in Puntland areas and independently recruit thousands of soldiers under the command of the general command in Mogadishu.

The President of Puntland, politicians, elders, and some members of the civil society in Puntland have warned against the interference of the Federal Government of Somalia, calling on the people of Puntland to unite against anyone threatening their security and to resolve internal grievances.
