The Minister of Family and Human Rights Development Holds Discussions with Various Leaders

The Minister of the Ministry of Family and Human Rights Development of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Amb. Khadiija Maxamed Al-Makhzoumi, held discussions with leaders and senior officials from various agencies and member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) during the Islamic Women's Conference in Islamabad.

During the meetings, the Minister engaged with the Executive Director of the Independent Permanent Human Rights Commission of the OIC (IPHRC), the Minister of Labor and Social Security of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), the Director General of the Research and Training Center for Economic, Social and Statistical Studies of Islamic Countries (SESRIC), the Minister of Women, Children and Social Welfare of Bangladesh, the Chairperson of the National Council of Women of Egypt, and the Secretary General of the Council of Family Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Throughout these meetings, the focus was on strengthening the relationship and cooperation between the Federal Republic of Somalia and the OIC member states, particularly in the areas of family development, human rights protection, women's empowerment, child care, community development, and the exchange of experiences and knowledge.

The meetings concluded with an agreement on expanding cooperation and enhancing fruitful collaboration that would contribute to the development of social services and the implementation of priority programs for Somalia. The Minister was accompanied in these meetings by the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Somalia to Pakistan, Ambassador Shiikh Nuur Maxamed Xasan.
