The Soldier Accused of Armed Robbery & Theft

Monday 26 Oct 2026 {HMC} Soldier Abuukar Maxamuud Yuusuf has been accused of committing armed robbery and theft, after allegedly imitating his friend & a relative.

Ahmed Xasan Maxamuud, who was a friend, was robbed of a Fekonta type motorcycle, while he was told that it would be returned soon, but it was not seen again, and it was the 9th of the month of July in the year 2026.

Similarly, Xuseen Cali Maxamed, who is also a relative, had his Samsung A12 phone taken, and it was claimed that he was talking to someone and would return it.

Additionally, the charges against him include the theft of a weapon that was entrusted to him for the service of his people.

After a lengthy investigation, the Office of the Military Prosecutor requested the case to be taken up, and it was approved on the 28th of the month of September in the year 2026.

After a hearing, following a lengthy consultation with the Military Court, Soldier Abuukar Maxamuud Yuusuf was ultimately sentenced today to five years of military prison, the return of the items he stole & also the weapon he had taken from the national army.

This was reported to the media by Judge Muxumed Maxamed Cumar (Samajecel), who is part of the first-degree court of the military.
