Cawad Responds to Remarks Made by Lugatoor

Politician Ahmed Ciise Cawad has supported the remarks made yesterday by the Deputy President of Puntland Ilyaas Cismaan Lugatoor, which stated that politicians connected to Villa Somalia should not create meetings and forces in Puntland.

On the other hand, Cawad urged the Deputy President to join the opposition in protecting Puntland from internal mismanagement and dictatorship, which he attributed to the current government.

In a written statement he posted on his X (formerly known as Twitter), he said, “I agree with the Deputy President that we must protect Puntland from the threats and dictatorship of Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, which is currently a danger to all of Somalia.”

“The Deputy President should join us in protecting Puntland from internal mismanagement and dictatorship,” he added.

Recently, there has been an increase in forces in Puntland claiming to have joined the Federal Government and those protesting, which are believed to be backed by the opposition connected to Villa Somalia.
