Puntland Naval Forces Begin Operations Along the Coasts

Boosaaso – The Puntland Maritime Forces have informed the Puntland community and all relevant parties that they have begun operations to enhance the security and safety of Puntland's shores, particularly to prevent acts of piracy and related security threats.

The forces stated that these operations are part of efforts to protect the coasts, property, and the safety of the public and those who use the sea. The Puntland Maritime Forces issued a strong warning to groups engaged in or intending to carry out acts of piracy, stating that legal action will be taken against anyone involved in actions that threaten the security and safety of the sea.

They also mentioned that any attempt to disrupt operations against piracy will not halt the forces' actions, but those involved in such acts will face legal measures and severe punishment. The public has been urged to avoid anything that supports or facilitates acts of piracy. The Puntland Maritime Forces also emphasized the importance of cooperation between the forces and the public to ensure the security of the shores.
