Sunday, September 20, 2026 {HMC} The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Dr. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, received a high-level delegation from the Pakistan Air Force, led by the Air Defense Chief and Deputy Chief of the Pakistan Air Force, Air Marshal Muhammad Sarfraz.

The meeting was attended by the Minister of Defense, Ahmed Macallin Fiqi, the Commander of the Somali National Army, Major General Ibrahim Mohamed Mahmoud, and the Commander of the Somali Air Force, Major General Abdirisaq Mohamed Haji.

The meeting discussed the enhancement and acceleration of the development of the Somali Air Force, with a particular focus on efforts to strengthen the capabilities of the Air Force, improve the quality and training of the forces, and strengthen defense cooperation between Somalia and Pakistan.

These efforts are part of plans to develop and build the Somali Air Force, to accelerate the operations of the General Command of the armed forces, and to strengthen the country's air defense capabilities.
