Leader Aadan Madoobe Meets with the Deputy Special Representative of the African Union for Somalia in Mogadishu

MOGADISHU – The leader of the South West State, Mr. Sheikh Aadan Mohamed Nur (Madoobe), who is on a working visit to Mogadishu, held a meeting with the Deputy Special Representative of the Chairperson of the African Union Commission for Somalia, Ambassador Mukhtar Osman Kariye.

The meeting focused on the overall situation in Somalia, particularly security, stability, and the development issues in the South West State. The two officials also exchanged information on efforts to strengthen peace, reconciliation, and the support that the African Union provides for the development and stabilization of the South West regions.

The leader of the South West State, Mr. Sheikh Aadan Madoobe, thanked Ambassador Mukhtar Osman Kariye for the continuous support of the African Union for Somalia, emphasizing the importance of further strengthening the cooperation between the South West State and the African Union to ensure lasting security and inclusive development.

Ambassador Mukhtar Osman Kariye praised the efforts of the South West State in ensuring security, reconciliation, and the development of social services, stating that the African Union will continue its support for Somalia, particularly the South West State.
