Ministers of the Ministry of Information express condolences over the death of the late Maxamuud Cabdi Cali Ducaale

The Minister of the Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Mr. Cabdulfitaax Qaasim Maxamuud, the Deputy Minister of the Ministry, Mr. Cabdiraxmaan Yuusuf Cumar (Al-Cadaala), the Director General of the Ministry, Mr. Cabdullaahi Xayir Ducaale, the Directors of Departments and all staff of the Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism of the Federal Republic of Somalia extend heartfelt condolences to the family, relatives, and the entire Somali media community following the passing of the late Maxamuud Cabdi Cali Ducaale, who was one of the pioneers of Somali journalism.

The late Maxamuud Cabdi Cali Ducaale was among the leaders who played a significant role in the country's media, having worked at Radio Muqdisho from 1972 to 1982. During that time, he held various positions that were crucial for the development of national media, and he also participated in raising awareness among the Somali community and improving the quality of journalism.

The late Maxamuud Cabdi Cali Ducaale is also remembered for having worked with some independent media and international media, notably the BBC Somali Service, where he continued his journalistic career.

The Minister of the Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Mr. Cabdulfitaax Qaasim Maxamuud, stated that the death of the late Maxamuud Cabdi Cali Ducaale represents a significant loss for the Somali media community, as he was an intellectual and a prominent figure in the growth and development of Somali journalism. Finally, the Minister of the Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Mr. Cabdulfitaax Qaasim Maxamuud, prayed to Allah SWT to grant the late Maxamuud Cabdi Cali Ducaale a place in Jannatul Firdowsa, and to provide patience and faith to his family, relatives, friends, and all the Somali people.
