The President of Hirshabelle Launches the Second Development Plan of the Hirshabelle Government

Jun 16 (Jowhar) The President of the Hirshabelle Government, Mr. Ali Abdullahi Hussein (Ali Guudlaawe), officially launched the Second Development Plan of the Government today, which was prepared by the Ministry of Planning, Investment and International Cooperation of Hirshabelle.

This plan will guide the development efforts of the Hirshabelle Government for the next five years, focusing on accountability, transparency in governance, and the implementation of projects beneficial to the community and the government.

The launch event was attended by members of both houses of the Hirshabelle Government, officials from the Ministry of Planning of the Federal Government of Somalia, representatives from the World Bank, WFP, and the UN Resident Coordinator in Hirshabelle.

The President of the Hirshabelle Government, Mr. Ali Abdullahi Hussein (Ali Guudlaawe), emphasized the importance of this plan for the progress of state-building and community services, stating:

“We want this plan to be implemented as written. There will be real accountability among all ministries and relevant agencies. I encourage officials and government staff to double their efforts in serving the people of Hirshabelle.”

Finally, the President officially signed the Book of the Second Development Plan of the Hirshabelle Government (2026–2030), describing it as a key pillar for the progress, stability, and economic growth of the Hirshabelle Government.
