The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia concludes training for units of the National Army

The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, who is also the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mr. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, has concluded training for thousands of soldiers from the Somali National Army, who have completed basic military training after nearly a year of training in the Xananbuure area of Galguduud Region.

These forces, recruited from all regions of the Federal Republic of Somalia, represent the largest number of troops to undergo such training within the country since the collapse of the state, having received comprehensive military lessons and training, which included military skills, discipline and military law, combat tactics, and essential knowledge for fulfilling national duties.

The President of the Republic noted that these soldiers symbolize the recovery of statehood and the rebuilding of the Somali National Army, as for the first time thousands of soldiers have graduated from a military school located within the country, officially joining the ranks of the Somali National Army.

President Hassan Sheikh urged the soldiers to uphold the discipline and honor of the Somali National Army, to maintain the unity and sovereignty of the country, and to carry out their duties with integrity, patriotism, and responsibility.

The event was attended by the President of the Galmudug State, the Minister of Defense, the Minister of Public Works, members of the Federal Parliament of Somalia, the Commander of the Somali National Army, the administration of Galguduud Region and the city of Dhuusamareeb, and other officials.
