President Hassan concludes training for officers who graduated from the TURKSOM School

Mogadishu – The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Mr. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, today concluded training for officers and deputy officers who successfully completed their military education at the TURKSOM Training School. The President watched a military parade performed jointly by the officers, deputy officers, and the troops they were to lead.

This training is crucial at this time, as it represents a new step for the Somali Government towards the rebuilding and modernization of the Somali National Army, strengthening the capacity and skills of the forces to respond to the security challenges in the country.

In a speech at the graduation ceremony, the President praised the effort, resilience, and integrity shown by the officers during their training period. He said: “You are the future leaders of the Somali National Army, and you are expected to serve your nation with honesty, knowledge, and patriotism.”

President Hassan Sheikh emphasized that the Federal Government of Somalia is giving special priority to the rebuilding, modernization, and enhancement of the Somali National Army, so that they have the capacity and skills to ensure the security of the country, defend the nation, and eliminate terrorist groups.

Additionally, the President thanked the Turkish Government for its ongoing support in the development and enhancement of the Somali forces, which has played a significant role in building a national army with skills and capabilities.

The graduating officers were noted to have been trained in modern methods based on Turkish support, and they are ready to fulfill their military duties in the country. This training is part of the ongoing efforts by the Somali Government to strengthen the capacity of the forces to counter security threats.
