President Hassan Sheikh Congratulates the New Speaker of the Hirshabelle Regional Assembly

The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Mr. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, has congratulated the new Chairman of the Hirshabelle State Assembly, Mr. Abdikhakiin Luqman Mohamed, the First Deputy Chairman, Mr. Abdirahman Abdi Iidow, and the Second Deputy Chairman, Mr. Jama Ali Mohamud, who were elected tonight to lead the new Assembly of Hirshabelle.

The President congratulated the new leadership for the confidence they have earned in taking on the responsibilities they were elected for, wishing them to carry out their constitutional duties efficiently and responsibly, and to work towards the development of governance, strengthening democracy, and accelerating the activities of the Assembly.

President Hassan Sheikh also emphasized the importance of cooperation among government institutions, maintaining social unity, and strengthening peace and progress in Hirshabelle, which is a crucial part of the overall efforts to provide citizens with government services and to allow them to freely elect their leaders.
