NISA delivers a heavy blow to Al-Shabaab – What happened today?

Jowhar (Caasimada Online) – The National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA), in collaboration with international partners, conducted a planned operation in the village of Bur Saruur in the Middle Shabelle region.

The operation took place in the village approximately 2 KM southeast of the Cali-Gaduud area, targeting a location where Al-Shabaab militants were present.

NISA forces killed 12 members of Al-Shabaab, and military equipment used by the group was also destroyed, according to a statement from the agency.

During the operation, the forces also destroyed the locations where the militants were hiding, which was part of efforts to weaken the group's power in the region.

The operation was reported to be planned, with the forces and international partners specifically targeting the area where the militants had gathered. The operation proceeded as planned, with the forces continuing to track down those who fled the area.

NISA forces are also conducting operations against Al-Shabaab fighters in areas of the Middle Shabelle region, aiming to prevent the group's movements.

This operation comes at a time when Somali government forces and international partners are conducting operations targeting the bases and hideouts of Al-Shabaab militants.
