COMMANDER OF THE SNA FORCES CHAIRED THE MORNING MEETING OF THE SNA HEADQUARTERS

The Commander of the Somali National Army (SNA), Brigadier General Ibrahim Mohamed Mahmoud, today chaired the morning meeting of the SNA Headquarters, which discussed the acceleration of ongoing operations, the development and restructuring of the SNA, and the preparation for the takeover of national security responsibilities from the African Union Transition Mission in Somalia (ATMIS).

The meeting focused on the overall security situation in the country, preparations for upcoming independence celebrations, strengthening ongoing operations, and enhancing the readiness of the SNA to fulfill their national duties. Various officials provided reports on ongoing activities and plans to enhance the capabilities and performance of the SNA, with particular emphasis on the importance of cooperation, collaboration, and coordination of efforts to ensure the security of the capital, Mogadishu.

Finally, the Commander of the SNA urged the officials to continue strengthening efforts to advance priority operations for the SNA.
