Who will compete in the presidential race of Galmudug?

Dhuusamareeb (Caasimada Online) – The Independent National Electoral Commission and Boundaries announced today the list of candidates competing for the presidency of Galmudug and its vice president, which is planned to take place in the coming days.

The commission stated that up to four candidates, two of whom will compete for the presidency, while the other two will contest for the vice presidency of Galmudug.

The four candidates are; Liibaax Axmed Xasan who is running for the JSP party and Cabdulqaadir Cabdullahi Diiriye who will represent the Sincad party in the election, it is expected that the candidate Liibaan, supported by the Villa Somalia group, will win.

Additionally, Cabdisataar Maxamed Geelle and Cabdiweli Ibraahim Garyare will compete for the vice presidency, representing the Sincad and JSP parties respectively. However, the success is predicted for Garyare, who is part of the party of President Xasan Sheekh Maxamuud, who was awarded the candidacy card of the party today.

This election was preceded by the election of the leadership of the Galmudug Parliament, which was won by the chairman and his two deputies, members of the JSP organization.

Furthermore, the presidency of Galmudug is expected to go to Liibaax Axmed Xasan, who is supported by Villa Somalia, while it is planned that the vice president will also be elected as Cabdiweli Garyare, who was awarded the candidacy card of the JSP organization today.
