In the city of Adhi-caddeeye in the Sool region, a mass burial has been held for more than 20 people who died yesterday in a clan-based conflict that occurred in the area.

Garaad Jaamac Garaad Cali, a member of the traditional leaders in the Sool region, stated that the leaders and the local intellectuals are urgently working to stop the conflict and to cool down the tensions arising from the battle.

The leader expressed his sadness over the incident, stating that many efforts were made to prevent further fighting between the clans involved in the conflict.

“I am saddened by what has happened, we made many efforts before the battle but it still occurred. I extend my condolences specifically to our brothers with whom we share the land and the government,” said Garaad Jaamac Garaad Ismaaciil.
