Ahmed Madobe criticizes the Federal Government's plan to recruit troops in Puntland.

The President of Jubaland, Ahmed Mohamed Islam (Ahmed Madobe) has strongly criticized the Federal Government's plan to recruit troops in Puntland, stating that the person calling for troops to be recruited in Puntland today is the same individual who previously obstructed the evacuation of soldiers injured in the battles that took place in the Cal-miskaad mountains in the Bari region.

While discussing the appointment of Commander Jimcaale, he stated that it would ultimately lead to the same outcome as the commanders who led the battle in Ras-Kambooni, and he pointed out that the people of Puntland would not accept an invasion aimed at destroying their government coming from Mogadishu.

‘’What is the difference between the commander being appointed in Puntland and the commander in Ras-Kambooni? The person today claiming there are troops being recruited in Puntland is the one who denied the injured soldiers of Cal-miskaad the evacuation by air,” said the President of Jubaland Ahmed Mohamed Islam.

On the other hand, the President of Jubaland stated that he has recordings which he claims are conversations between senior officials of the Federal Government and Jubaland soldiers, adding that if those recordings are leaked, they could undermine the trust in the government.
