Mogadishu (Caasimada Online) – Cumar Cabdirisaaq Xuseen, who last night was informed by the Chairman of the Coalition for Justice and National Integrity, Ambassador Cabdiraxmaan Caynte, that he was removed from the position of Secretary General of the Coalition, stated that he was not expelled from the Coalition but resigned.

Cumar mentioned in a statement he released that he voluntarily resigned from the position of Secretary General of the Coalition on Wednesday, which was on 23 September 2026.

He also stated that his resignation came after he rejected the direction of management and politics that the Coalition for Justice and National Integrity had taken.

“My decision is based on: The political Coalition has been diverted to an NGO framework, which is far from the direction and purpose for which it was established. The last issue was that a political meeting was turned into a presentation of the Heritage annual report, which I clearly opposed,” he said.

Cumar accused the leadership of the Coalition of failing to fulfill its obligations and a lack of awareness of the internal situation of the Coalition. “A political Coalition is not a personal project, NGO, or a platform managed for specific interests. It must have a clear political direction, responsible leadership, and a transparent accountability process.”

I hereby confirm that I voluntarily resigned from the position of Secretary General of the Coalition on Wednesday, which was on 23 September 2026, after I rejected the direction of management and politics that the Coalition had taken.

My decision is based on:

The political Coalition has been diverted to an NGO framework, which is far from the direction and purpose for which it was established. The last issue was that a political meeting was turned into a presentation of the Heritage annual report, which I clearly opposed.

Interference and internal conflicts, including differing opinions I had with some officials.

Political leadership that has failed to fulfill its obligations, and a lack of awareness of the internal situation of the Coalition.

The reporting and management process that I saw as undermining the independence of members and political accountability.

A political Coalition is not a personal project, NGO, or a platform managed for specific interests. It must have a clear political direction, responsible leadership, and a transparent accountability process.

In conclusion, I confirm that I have independently exited the Coalition after the situations I saw as conflicting with my principles and political vision.

I prefer to uphold my dignity, my principles, and my political vision.
