The Federal Government of Somalia has addressed what it calls targeting outside the Islamic Sharia and the good Somali culture, which has caused significant loss of life and property in the last two days among rival clans in the Jalalaqsi District of Hiiraan Region.

The ministry has called for an immediate and unconditional cessation of the conflict and targeting actions that have resulted in deaths, injuries, arson, theft of property, and widespread displacement affecting the local population.

Finally, the ministry has warned that legal action will be taken against those spreading heinous acts that incite and disrupt the community on social media.

Additionally, the ministry calls on traditional elders, scholars, women, youth, local intellectuals, and the Hirshabelle regional government to take a visible role in stopping the conflict, strengthening peace, enhancing community coexistence, and working towards a lasting solution to the existing disputes.
