Chairman of the Supreme Court of Somalia Participates in the African Judiciary Leaders Conference

NAIROBI – The Chairman of the Supreme Court of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Mr. Baashe Yusuf Ahmed, participated in the 2nd Conference of African Judiciary Leaders on Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), which took place for two days in Nairobi, the capital of Kenya.

This high-level conference brought together Supreme Court Chairpersons, heads of judicial institutions, and experts from various African countries to discuss the development of justice systems, enhancing judicial services, and strengthening the use of ADR methods in resolving disputes.

The forum was officially opened by the President of the Republic of Kenya, William Ruto, who emphasized the importance of strengthening modern dispute resolution methods to expedite access to justice, reduce the burden on courts, and support sustainable development in the African continent.

Chairman Baashe Yusuf Ahmed presented insights related to the development of justice in Somalia, enhancing justice services, and the importance of judicial cooperation among African countries. He also met with his counterparts from other countries to strengthen collaboration and exchange experiences related to justice administration and the use of ADR.
