Leader of South West Meets Chinese Ambassador to Somalia in Mogadishu

MOGADISHU – The President of the South West State, Mr. Sheikh Aadan Mohamed Nur (Madoobe), held a fruitful meeting in Mogadishu with the Chinese Ambassador to Somalia, Ambassador Wang Yu.

The meeting focused on strengthening the friendship and long-standing cooperation between the Federal Republic of Somalia and the People's Republic of China, with both sides agreeing on the importance of continuing collaboration in development, economy, and infrastructure projects to advance the South West region.

The President of the South West State thanked the ambassador for the continuous support of the Chinese government to Somalia, emphasizing the need to increase development projects in the South West region to accelerate the progress of social services and economic growth.

Ambassador Wang Yu congratulated President Sheikh Aadan Madoobe on his election and affirmed China's commitment to strengthening cooperation with Somalia, expressing the readiness of the Chinese government to support development efforts and effective projects in the South West region.

This meeting is part of the efforts of the South West State government to strengthen international donors and attract investment and development projects that can contribute to progress and social services.
