Ankara (Caasimada Online) – The Turkish government has denied reports circulating on social media claiming that Somalia has imposed entry restrictions on Turkish citizens, clarifying that there has been no change in the movement system between the two countries.

A statement from the DMM, the center for combating disinformation at the Turkish Presidency, stated that reports claiming that "Somalia has imposed entry restrictions on Turkish citizens" are false and misleading.

The Turkish government stated that the two countries still have agreements and systems allowing the movement of their citizens, noting that there has been no change in the visa requirements between Turkey and Somalia.

The statement also clarified that there is no new decision to restrict or tighten the movement of citizens between the two countries.

The DMM finally urged the public to be cautious about news not coming from official sources and to seek information regarding movement and visa requirements from relevant government agencies.
