The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Federal Republic of Somalia is deeply concerned about reports that the Israeli administration is establishing relations with the secessionist administration in the northern regions of Somalia, without going through the Federal Government of Somalia.

The Federal Republic of Somalia views any such relationship as a violation of its sovereignty, unity, territorial integrity, and constitutional order.

Somalia is a sovereign state recognized internationally, and the Federal Government of Somalia is the only entity legally empowered to represent the country in international relations.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasizes that any political, diplomatic, or any other type of relationship with the secessionist administration, bypassing the Federal Government of Somalia, contradicts international law and lacks any legitimacy or political weight.

Somalia calls on all international partners to uphold international law, respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Somalia, and condemn actions that undermine the unity and stability of the Somali government.

The Federal Republic of Somalia has the right to take all necessary legal measures, using diplomatic, legal, and other appropriate means, to defend its sovereignty, territorial integrity, and national unity.

Somalia remains committed to peaceful dialogue, regional stability, and effective cooperation with all its partners.

However, it will not accept any actions that violate its sovereignty or threaten the unity of the Somali people.
