The Commander of the Mudug Regional Police, Senior Colonel Maxamuud Muuse Bile Farda-fuul, spoke strongly about the security issues in the city of Gaalkacyo, warning against groups he claimed are using the name of the Federal Government to carry out acts against security.

The Commander stated that individuals supporting the Federal Government who live peacefully within the community will not face any problems from the security forces, but anyone carrying weapons or attempting to intimidate the public will not be tolerated, emphasizing that the administration and security forces are responsible for ensuring the security of the city and will take action against anyone violating the existing order.

“Those who take advantage of the Federal Government while being among their people, we will not chase them, but anyone who shows themselves and instills fear in the community cannot be tolerated, and we will see each other,” said the Commander of the Mudug Regional Police, Senior Colonel Maxamuud Muuse Bile Farda-fuul.

Additionally, Senior Colonel Maxamuud Bile accused individuals he claimed have failed in their assigned duties of attempting to create chaos in the area, stating that acts that could disrupt the stability of the region will not be allowed.

The Commander emphasized that armed groups not under the security agencies cannot operate in the city, stating that anyone wishing to work for the Federal Government can legally operate in appropriate areas, but it will not be accepted for weapons to be brought into the city or for the public to be intimidated. He concluded his remarks by stating that the security forces will continue to maintain security and order in the Mudug region.

“Those who have failed in their assigned duties are trying to harm our community, anyone who wants to work for Xasan Sheekh should go to those entering the Somali army, but in this city, we have the mandate as long as we respect what has been achieved that weapons should not be brought into the city,” he reiterated, Commander Farda-fuul.
